DRX defeated EDG in the semifinals and defending champions with a reversal drama
DRX advanced to the semifinals of the LOL World Cup by winning a come-from-behind victory over defending champion Edward Gaming (EDG).
DRX gave up the first two sets in the quarterfinals of the 2022 League of Legends (LoL) World Championship at Hulu Theater in Madison Square, New York on the 24th (Korea Standard Time), but showed its potential to take the remaining three sets, creating a reversal of the defeat victory.
After giving up the first two sets and tying for a dramatic fight, DRX held a Banpick that worked hard to take the lead in the line and solidified its victory around the Silas of Sol “Jeka” Kim Gun-woo. DRX boosted Kim Gun-woo’s three consecutive solo kills to the fullest, winning a great victory in the battle that began with “Pyo Sik” Hong Chang-hyun (Viego)’s dragon still in the 37th minute, and ended the long game by devastating it.
As a result, DRX will compete with Gen.G e-Sports in the semifinals.
Another matchup of the semifinals was the matchup between T1-Jingdong Gaming (JDG), and the semifinals of the LOL Cup were confirmed with three LCK teams and one LPL (China). 안전놀이터
